Across the Philippines, researchers are working every day to understand problems that affect our families, our communities, and our future. Whether it is improving agriculture, strengthening climate resilience, or finding better solutions in health and education, Filipino researchers bring passion and dedication to their work.

But many of these projects struggle to move forward because funding is limited and support systems are not always accessible. Even strong ideas often stall, not because they lack value, but because the country invests only 0.32% of GDP in R&D, far below UNESCO’s 1% benchmark. For new organizations, the challenge is even tougher: funding calls can mean a 90–98% rejection rate, sometimes due to structural requirements like financial statement history.

That’s the gap ResearchBayanihan is built to address.

ResearchBayanihan is a crowdfunding platform that helps bring Filipino-led research projects to life. Powered by IMPACT R&D, it’s designed to make research support transparent, approachable, and open to anyone who wants to help—so research can move forward with community backing, not just institutional gatekeeping. 

What makes this different is trust you can verify. Each contribution is recorded through blockchain-backed transactions, and donors receive a unique QR code and hash so they can track where their support goes and follow progress over time. Projects are also vetted, so contributions go to credible, ethical, community-responsive work.

Our system provides transparency at every step. You will receive a unique QR code and hash tied to your contribution, and you will be able to see project updates as they happen.
