Our mission is to drive community transformation and enhance the societal impact of research through innovative, multidisciplinary, and R&D-driven initiatives. By integrating diverse scientific disciplines and collaborating closely with stakeholders, we develop sustainable and socially relevant solutions to address environmental, agricultural, nutritional and humanitarian challenges.
To become a premier catalyst for sustainable community transformation in the Philippines, driven by multidisciplinary research and innovation to address pressing environmental, agricultural, nutritional and humanitarian challenges. Through strategic engagement in national and international research initiatives, we envision creating lasting societal impact and fostering resilience for future generations.
IMPACT R&D was founded by Dr. Arnan B. Araza, an IPCC Awardee for Climate Studies, a DOST Balik Scientist Awardee, and a dedicated forester by profession and passion. Our mission is to conduct research that not only advances scientific understanding but also delivers practical, community-driven solutions. We collaborate with both international and local partners to address pressing issues in the fields of environment, agriculture, health, and nutrition.
The organization benefits from the strategic guidance of respected leaders in science and development. Among them are Dr. Bessie M. Burgos, former Director of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD-DOST) and retired Program Head at the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), and Dr. Ramon A. Razal, former Dean and Professor Emeritus at the College of Forestry and Natural Resources (CFNR), University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). Their expertise and mentorship play a critical role in shaping the organization's direction and impact.
